As Dame Vivienne Westwood once said: „Buy less, choose well, make it last.“ This applies to both the consumer and the producer. The work is done as locally as possible and recycling is not a sign of stinginess or „unsavory“ behavior. The most important point, however, is transparency, information and education on the part of the producer or the brand. The consumer, on the other hand, should deal a little more with the matter and face the perhaps unpleasant truth. In the cosmetics industry, for example, elves do not fill perfume into bottles made by magicians in the fairytale forest. Unimaginable quantities, cheap and questionable ingredients and countless kilometers are accepted at the expense of the environment and people out of greed for profit.
